Lincoln Art Center
The 50-year old flooring at the Lincoln Art Center was showing wear and discoloration and was full of broken and missing tile. Visitors were commenting on its condition and it was distracting attention from the quality art exhibits.
With a grant from the community foundation, the art center was able to install new flooring and update the space with new paint. The space feels more modern and is also safer with even flooring throughout. “Comments from guests have been positives such as, ‘The gallery looks so much warmer and cleaner with the new floor and new paint,” said grantee Joyce Harlow. “The art center could not have accomplished this project without the grant funding. We feel this has been a much-needed renovation, not only for the visual appearance, but for the safety of our staff, artists and visitors.”
