Wilson-Langley Fund for Luray

The primary purpose of the Wilson-Langley Fund for Luray is to support the further education of Luray, KS area students in the form of a student scholarship. If there are no qualified scholarship applicants, then the grants committee will accept applications from nonprofits, civic organizations, education and religious institutions for charitable projects that benefit the community of Luray, KS.

All applicants will need to fill out a grant application form through our online grant system.

Scholarship Applications will be accepted annually from November 1-March 1.

All scholarship applicants must meet the following scholarship criteria:

  • A resident of Luray, KS or living in the rural area of Amherst, Valley, Waldo or Luray townships.
  • Graduate or student in good standing qualifying for high school graduation
  • Enrolled in a full-time course of study at a Kansas college, university, vocational or technical school in the academic year for which the scholarship is applied.
  • Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement.
  • Applicants must be involved in extracurricular activities.
  • Applicants must submit a short essay addressing how living in a small town and attending a small high school has prepared them for the future.

Community Grant Applications will be accepted annually April 1-June 1 from any remaining fund balance.
